70 Pine Street was the tallest in Lower Manhattan

70 Pine Street was built in 1932 and it was last skyscraper built in Lower Manhattan before the World War II. Also it was the tallest building in Lower Manhattan until 1970 when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were built. However, after the tragic events of 2001, 70 Pine Street returned this status again, for several years.
