John the Warrior from the army of Emperor Julian
John the Warrior served in the army of Emperor Julian the Apostate and had to participate in the raids against the Christians. But being an 'insider' John had an opportunity to warn coreligionists. One day he was caught and sentenced to death. But after the Emperor had died in a battle, John was freed and lived a long and pious life.
