Equitable Building was a reason for 1916 Zoning Resolution

Equitable Building built in 1915 in Manhattan was one of main reasons of issuing “1916 Zoning Resolution”. It required for skyscrapers to reduce the size of higher floors so the building cast less shadow in the city.
