The first church in Naryshkin Baroque style
Church of the Intercession at Fili was built in 1694 by Leo Naryshkin, the brother of queen Natalya Kirillovna Naryshkina. It was one of the first buildings distinguished by it ornate architectural style which differed greatly from conventional style of Russian churches. Those new architectural traditions received the name of Naryshkin Baroque.
